Manusa is a social cooperative that links textile crafts with social and ethical values.

We work with antique textile craft skills, creating ‘made in italy’ products that tell stories of personal achievements, creative research and quality

We create hand embroidery, knitwork and crochet. We work with manual knitting machines of different gauges (3/5/7/12).

We develop prototypes and original works, small productions of finished garments for brands and designers, creative experimentation and special projects.

Holy Contract

Barbara Guarducci had the knitwear costumes, conceived together with Amy Rusch, for the Holy Contract show produced entirely by Manusa.

CLASS eco hub

Manusa manufactured hand-embroidered cushions for the event An Evening of Smart Innovation. Held in New York in March 2018, it celebrated the 10th anniversary of the C.L.A.S.S. eco hub. Under the creative guidance of the ginger designn team, 20 hand-embroidered cushions, inspired by naturally occurring spirals, were made with the materials of C.L.A.S.S.’s partners.

Tum Tum The Heart Collection

In 2016 and 2017, Manusa was one of the Tuscan social cooperatives to partner with Unicoop Firenze in creating handmade products to be sold at Christmas time at the Unicoop Firenze supermarkets in order to raise funds for the Cuore si Scioglie foundation.
